The Abbie James Boutique opened it’s doors in April of 2022 in the creative and vibrant Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, just minutes away from Melbourne CBD. The boutique showcases its own brand, Abbie James, which is designed by founder and creative director, Abbie James and a curated selection of independent sustainable brands, with 90% being Australian designers. 

Housed in a century-year-old building full of character and history. Inside, the boutique is warm and inviting. Furniture featuring the natural curves of wood found on Abbie's Mornington Peninsula property is complemented with sharp architectural lines and exposed brickwork with original timber flooring. With generous changerooms and a light-filled space, the Fitzroy boutique offers a luxe yet down-to-earth experience to immerse yourself in sustainable fashion. MANUFACTURING: The brands manufacturing must meet the boutique’s sustainability standards of limited runs and environmentally conscious practices.

EMPLOYMENT: The makers must be paid a living wage and treated with respect.

FIBRES: The fibres used in garments are the be of natural origin or recycled synthetic fibres. Preference is given to recycled fibres and deadstock fabrics.

PACKAGING: All packaging is evaluated. From the garment bags to swing tags, garment labels, promotional material and shipping packaging.

VALUES: The Abbie James Boutique has strong values of sustainability, longevity and luxury. The brands that the boutique partner with, align with these values. Many aligning themselves with charities and community projects.
